When translation isn’t a convenience, it’s the work.

Some of the people who use NatChatt do so because their job already depends on speaking to communities in languages their teams don’t share. The translation is the work; we’re trying to make less of it sit on one person’s shoulders.

A lot of community work routes through one person who happens to speak the language. NatChatt isn’t a replacement for that person, because their judgement and trust are doing more than translation alone could. What it does is let the rest of the team take part in conversations they’d otherwise be locked out of, and lighten the load on the person carrying it all.

You can use NatChatt for individual case-work conversations, for group threads with a community, for voice notes that arrive at odd hours, for documents that need to be read quickly. Privacy still applies: messages stay on the devices of the people in the conversation, and the request to translate is not held by us.
