Terms of service

These are the basic terms under which NatChatt is provided. They’re written to be readable. If any part isn’t clear, write to us at support@natchatt.com.

Inside the app

The same terms, always one tap away.

The terms of service open inside the app in a webview that uses this same page underneath. Whatever you're reading here is exactly what NatChatt users see on their phone, in the language they chose.

The NatChatt Terms of Service opened inside the app

1. Who provides NatChatt

NatChatt is provided by NatChatt LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales. References to “we”, “us” and “our” in these terms refer to that company.

2. The service we provide

NatChatt is a messenger that translates messages, voice notes and calls through Google’s Gemini API. Files, photos, videos and locations can be shared through the app but their contents are not translated. Translations rely on third-party infrastructure and are subject to the availability and accuracy of that infrastructure.

3. Your account

NatChatt accounts are tied to your phone number. There is no password. When you sign in, we send a one-time code by SMS to confirm it’s you. You agree to provide a valid phone number under your control, to keep your phone reasonably secure, and to notify us if you suspect someone else has accessed your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use NatChatt to harass other people, to break the law, or to send content that infringes someone else’s rights. We do not read your conversations, so enforcement is largely driven by user reports.

5. Pricing and payment

The NatChatt app is free to download and use. Every credit pack you buy includes a free chat translation allowance (applied to text messages and voice notes), and translated voice calls are paid for with the credits themselves. The current pack pricing and the size of the chat allowance included with each pack are published on our pricing page.

Credit packs are top-ups that you choose to buy whenever you want. One credit covers two minutes of translated voice call. Each credit covers Google’s API cost plus a small platform fee that funds payment processing, infrastructure, and support — there is no subscription and no markup on Google’s rate. If you exceed the bundled chat allowance, additional chat translations are charged as a fraction of a credit each, at the rate published in the app.

Credits do not expire. Unused credits remain in your account until you spend them, refund them under section 6, or close your account. The bundled chat allowance does not expire either — any unused portion stays on your account until used, and buying a new pack adds more on top.

6. Refunds and cancellation

Because the app is free and there is no subscription, there is nothing to cancel. You can stop topping up at any time. Refunds apply to paid credits only — the free chat translations bundled with a pack are provided at no charge and are not refundable. Unused credit packs can be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Once you have spent any credits from a pack, that pack is non-refundable and we do not issue partial refunds; the remaining credits stay in your account to use, and do not expire. Any other unspent pack you hold is still refundable.

Deleting your account permanently erases all of your records from our servers, including your purchase history. We cannot issue a refund after deletion, so please claim any refund you are entitled to before you delete your account.

7. Liability

We provide NatChatt with reasonable care, but we don’t warrant that translations are always perfect or that the service will always be available. To the extent allowed by law, our liability for any loss arising from your use of NatChatt is capped at the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be heard in the courts of England and Wales, unless you have non-waivable consumer rights in another jurisdiction.

9. Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we’ll change the date at the top and write to every account at least 30 days before the changes take effect. If you keep using the service after that date, you’ve accepted the new terms. If you don’t want the new terms, cancel inside the app.
